Issue No. 01 — Autumn

How a thing wears in, not how it photographs.

A small shop in Hayes Valley for natural-fibre clothing, ceramics and leather goods — curated from independent studios, in editions of one or two at a time.

Currently in the shop — about eighty pieces.

A small list, kept on purpose.

We carry about eighty pieces at a time. Clothing, accessories, and a few objects from small studios working in natural materials — linen, wool, silk, hand-thrown ceramics, vegetable-tanned leather.

We'd rather carry eighty things we believe in than four hundred we don't. If something here speaks to you, it probably won't be here next month — and that's part of the point.

01 — Linen

Linen

Garment-washed, soft on the first wearing. The piece that gets better every season.

Wool

Knitwear in undyed yarns. A few pieces each season.

03 — Silk

Silk

A handful of pieces a year, in silk that drapes properly. Hand-finished hems. The kind of thing a tailor notices.

View silk

04 — Ceramic

Ceramic

Mugs, small bowls, a low vase. Each one is its own object.

View ceramic

Handcrafted leather goods: a small bag, a wallet, a belt.

05 — Leather

Vegetable-tanned bags, belts, small things. The leather gets better with you.
